Mikey : Hello, is Gina there
?
Brother : Yeah, who's that ?
Mikey : Erm, it's Mikey.
Brother : I'll just get her.
Gina : Hello ?
Mikey : Hello, Gina ?
Gina : Yeah ?
Mikey : How ya doing ? it's Mike from boyzone here.
Gina : Are you serious ?
Mikey : Yep! I have your letter here with me which is asking me
to give you a ring.
Gina : oh really ? Wow! I can't believe it's really you! How are
you doing ?
Mikey : I'm doing fine, thanks. I thought I'd give you a quick ring
and say hello and thank you for your support.
Gina : Oh...
Mikey : So gina, tell us a bit about yourself.
Gina : I'm 14 years old and er, well, ooh, I thought my brother
was joking when he said Mikey was on the phone.
Mikey : Oh, not at all, not at all. I'm the real thing.
Gina : Were you pleased about your No.1 ?
Mikey : Oh yeah, I was delighted. It was about time! We got close
to the top spot every time so it was great to be there. Hopefully it's
the beginning of many. We're always so busy though, we've never sat back
and thought about it for too long.
Gina : Where are you at the moment ?
Mikey : At the moment I'm in a dressing room at Top of The pops.
Gina : Are you performing now ?
Mikey : We'll be on in 15 minutes or so. Erm, (searching for words)
so there you go.
Gina : (silence) Oh, right.
Mikey : So Gina, is there anything else you want to ask me ?
Gina : Erm, ooh yes, my mind;s gone blank though.I know I'll think
of load's of things when I come off the phone.
Mikey : (long pause) Oh, no worries. It's been lovely talking to
you, Gina.
Gina : It's been good talking to you too.
Mikey : Well, thanks very much for your support then. I'll be seeing
you , Gina.
Gina : yeah, thanks, byeee.
Mikey : Bye.

SO WHAT DID GINA RECKON TO THAT SURPRISE TINKLE FROM MIKEY ?
It was a massive surprise. I didn't know what my brother was on about when he said Mikey was on the phone. I couldn't think what to say to him at the time but it was brilliant that he called.
